         ·       Detailed working knowledge of PC based CNC equipment and drive systems as applied to machine tools

 

 

·       Maintenance and alignment of Precision Machine tools and their sub-assemblies 

·       Working knowledge of PCs and general test equipment 

·       Familiar with setting up PC based control systems 

·         Understanding of Spark Erosion machines

 

·         The ability to adjust axes slides to achieve alignments

·         Experience with part programming and process development as applied to spark erosion equipment

 

·         Liaising with customer maintenance team and subcontractors appointed to work relating to assigned projects

 

 

Candidates should ideally be qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline; possessing a thorough understanding of machine tools, ideally with an electrical and electronic bias and have worked on machine tool installation, service, diagnostics and tooling issues ideally to aerospace technical standards.

 

           The applicant will have excellent all round skills in Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical maintenance disciplines, including machine alignment and PC based control systems. The required level of competence and experience cannot be attained without recognized, time served type, training

 

         A clear and logical approach to fault finding complex electronic control systems

 

       Reactive Service and Preventative Maintenance

 

          Familiar with using dial test indicators with squares, parallels etc.

 

         Able to work alone, using your own initiative but also able to liaise with other team members for co-ordinated problem solving, as required
