Senior Customer Support Software Engineer

We offer competitive benefits with lower than national average employee contributions, tuition reimbursement and interest free computer loans.  We are seeking Support Engineers interested in providing technical support to customers for issues including but not limited to administration, installation, licensing, usage and applications. Using excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, this role ensures that technical problems are analyzed, documented and resolved, and new releases are delivered, creating an outstanding customer experience and enhancing the team's knowledge. This role reports to the Technical Support Manager and interacts daily with all business units but most commonly with the support group and engineering group. The Support Engineer will provide support for all aspects of internal softwares

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in technical support, help desk or desktop support in Windows and Unix environments.
  • 5-7 years of MCAD/CAM/CAE system customer support
  • 3-5 years of experience installing and using CATIA, ProEngineer, NX, SolidEdge, Solidworks, Autodesk/Inventor
    • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiar with bug tracking and source management systems (Footprints, ClearCase, etc.)
  • Familiar with license management applications (FlexNet)
  • Familiar with Windows 98, Vista, 7.x, Linux, 32 bit/64 bit applications, Unix (AIX and Solaris) environments and administration
  • Familiar with Python, Java, Install Anywhere, C, C++, Scripting
  • Familiar with Windows and UNIX admin
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Familiar with CAD Systems¬† such as CATIA, ProEngineer, NX, SolidEdge,¬† Solidworks, Autodesk/Inventor
  • Proficient with WebEx, Virtual Machines

Desired Skills:

  • MCAD software installation, licensing and basic usage
  • Familiar with Windows and Unix platforms
  • Experience with software and computing environments including but not limited to Windows workstation and server operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite of Products, networks and PC hardware.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving skills
    • Ability to make progress and follow up on multiple tasks with changing priorities
    • Ability to adapt and be flexible to operate in a fast-paced demanding environment.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
