About CAD/CAM RECRUITERS
CAD/CAM RECRUITERS is a small, independent search firm based in Charlotte comprised of four recruiters specializing exclusively in the CAD/CAM and CNC industries since 1981. Founded by Bill Wright, a native Charlottean and father of four, who holds a BS from Webber International University in Babson Park, FL, the firm has built a reputation for results through a 45-year industry-focused niche. Also, on staff is Paul James, a BSMET with over 22 years recruiting; and Dylan Wright, a 2018 Graduate of Appalachian State University.

Our History in CNC Recruiting
For years, we have specialized in connecting skilled manufacturing professionals with leading companies across North and South Carolina. As experienced CAD/CAM recruiters and CNC recruiters, our focus has always been on one thing: understanding the real needs of precision manufacturing businesses and the talented people who keep them running.
Our work began with a simple idea—CNC companies deserve a recruiting partner who understands machining, programming, tooling, and the realities of modern manufacturing. Instead of treating manufacturing jobs like generic placements, we built a CNC recruiting firm dedicated specifically to the CNC and CAD/CAM industry.
Over time, we have developed deep relationships with machine shops, aerospace suppliers, defense contractors, and advanced manufacturing companies throughout the Carolinas. By focusing exclusively on this niche, we’ve become trusted CNC recruiters who understand the difference between a good resume and a truly great machinist, programmer, or manufacturing engineer.
Why CNC Companies Trust Us
Manufacturers choose our CNC recruiting firm because we understand the technical side of the industry. When companies work with us, they aren’t explaining basic concepts of machining—we already know the difference between 3-axis and 5-axis machining, the importance of tight tolerances, and the critical role that CAD/CAM programming plays in modern production.
As experienced CAD/CAM recruiters, we carefully evaluate candidates for both technical skill and cultural fit. Our process focuses on identifying professionals who can make an immediate impact, whether that means programming complex parts, improving cycle times, or leading manufacturing teams.
Companies across the Carolinas trust us because we provide:
- A focused specialization in CNC and CAD/CAM recruiting
- Access to highly skilled machinists, programmers, and engineers
- A proven screening process tailored to manufacturing roles
- Long-term relationships with both employers and candidates
This industry focus allows us to operate as more than just recruiters—we act as strategic partners for companies that rely on precision manufacturing talent.
Our Network of CNC Professionals
One of the greatest advantages we offer as CNC recruiters is our established network of highly skilled professionals across the Carolinas and beyond. Over the years, we have built relationships with machinists, CNC programmers, manufacturing engineers, CAD/CAM specialists, shop supervisors, and operations leaders.
Because we operate as a specialized CNC recruiting firm, many professionals in the industry come to us first when they are ready to explore new opportunities. This gives our clients access to both active candidates and passive talent who may not be searching job boards but are open to the right opportunity.
Our network includes professionals experienced with:
- CNC milling and turning
- Multi-axis machining and complex part production
- Advanced CAD/CAM programming and toolpath optimization
- Process improvement and manufacturing engineering
- Shop leadership and operations management
By combining our network with our expertise as CAD/CAM recruiters, we help companies quickly identify the right people to strengthen their teams and support continued growth.
