Currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for a number of diverse duties and projects to support our growing state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate and improve processes to ensure that manufacturing specifications and procedures are adhered to in relation to quality, method, safety and costs.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the job including tool design, fixture design, NC programming, machine specification and implementation (if applicable), and DVI process (first article process).
  • Provides detailed process documentation to include tool and fixture drawings, definition of setup, operational procedures and overall process flow.
  • Evaluate non-conformity causes and report results and corrective actions
  • Assist department managers with projects and/or provide technical advice
  • Assist in training of new operators
  • Write monthly reports and project reports
  • Partner with purchasing to arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Able to manage all aspects of projects related to manufacturing processes to include planning, tracking of timelines and implementation of solutions.
  • Continuously improve the manufacturing process by applying Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma and SPC tools.
  • Analyze processing methods to test feasibility of existing processes or new processes, and recommends implementation of improved procedures and process flows.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years related industry experience- Aerospace experience preferred

Desired Characteristics

  • Preferred experience in Machining, Welding Operations and Inspection Methodology. Familiar with Non Destructive Testing and Heat Treatment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with technical personnel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical issues to international business groups for decision making.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project.
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Experience with CATIA software preferred (arrives in May)
  • Ability to work well without close supervision and make effective decisions.
  • Strong analysis / problem solving skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills and organizational skills
