Summary:
Perform audits in accordance with AS9100 requirements, support Quality and Operations on inspections, vendor survey,, non-conformance reports etc. as needed. Program and operate CMM as needed. Perform inspections on production parts as directed, prepare First Article Inspections and receiving inspections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards.
• Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
• Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures
• Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
• Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.
• Work with production management and Quality Assurance to provide feedback to assemblers regarding accuracy of assembly procedures.
• Proficiency in PC-DMIS programming.
Skills and Experience Requirements
• Working knowledge of measurement instruments including, but not limited to: calipers, verniers, gage blocks, height gages
• Use of PC-DMIS CMM program
• Knowledge of computer operating systems and network
• 5-7 years experience with CMM programming using PC-DMIS, CMM operating and AS9100 Quality Systems
Education and Training:
• Technical degree or equivalent
• Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
• Good arithmetic skills are required
• High proficiency of Microsoft Office
• Proactive, problem solver with inquisitive nature willing to propose alternative solutions

• Strength : Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. for short distances
• Motion : Able to stand for long periods of time, with frequent bending, turning, stooping, reaching, handling, crouching, walking and kneeling.
• Environment : Indoor shop environment, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and noise.
• Hearing : Loud environment, with many machines operating at one time.
• Vision : Depth perception, reading routers, and ability to read fine measuring instruments
